Contribute
Our fundraising drive on Kickstarter raised around $3500. Unfortunately, Kickstarter’s policy is that if your goal isn’t reached in the allotted time no money changes hands.
For people that believe in this project and want to see it succeed, we’ve set up a donation form that requires little set up, and you can use regular debit or credit cards. The money donated will go into a special account we have set aside for costs associated with the creating the game. See our graph below for how the money will be distributed. Donors of $10 or more will get a free prerelease copy of the game. And, you’ll be invited to beta test the game and, weigh in on decisions surrounding its design.

** Update **
To giveĀ incentive to our donors to spread the word about The American Dream Game, we’ve created a “trust fund” inside the game. For every direct referral to a friend that signs up as a donor for at least $10, the referrer gets $100 dollars added to a trust fund in their personal copy of the game. Every indirect referral (you told a friend, who told a friend) puts $50 more dollars in your trust fund. By sharing our page on Facebook and through Twitter, and encouraging your friends to donate and play, you can easily add a few hundred thousand dollars to your trust fund in the game.
You’ll probably need it!
The initial goal for our Kickstarter funding was $45,000. Those funds would have mostly gone towards assembling a small team of developers to create a framework and working model. We’ll need to perform user testing (on various devices/platforms) to ensure the game can be played, and understood by the target audience. And, we’ll also check to make sure they learned something.

The breakdown of how the proceeds will be spent.
The total estimated cost of the game’s design, development and deployment is around $120,000. So, the more we raise, the nicer the game can be. And, the faster we can get it into the hands (literally) of a ton of people. Please help us make this game a reality by donating today.
